"Enhancing the minds of tomorrow "

"Hello Parents & Fellow Chess mates:
Daniel has only been playing chess for 2 years and has completely fallen in love with
the game - especially the tournaments! His first tournament was a little nerve racking
but Coach Miguel was quick to greet us and walk us through the process. I can't say
enough about Coach Miguel; he is the most wonderful, sincere guy!! He is at these
tournaments to "truly" support your child. He walks through the cafeteria taking note of
his student's games - he then meets with them after a win/loss and goes over their
strategy to either enhance their next win or to learn from their loss.
The supplemental 2 hour Super Group lesson is the meat and potatoes of the
learning process; this is where advance strategies are taught and practiced. This
advance lesson has been a huge confidence builder!
We are so happy to experience and enjoy the game of chess with Coach Miguel."

Parent and Student Testimonials
"Chess opened up my mind to a different style of thinking. I had never before taken
the time to plan my decisions thoroughly and tended to hasten my choices, thinking
only short term. Chess being a game that requires one to think of and plot several
moves in advance, gave me a mindset that can be successfully applied to the other
areas of my life. Chess has shown me that no matter how difficult and complicated
situations may seem, there is always a solution, and that whether or not it will be in
my favor, can be determined by my ability to think ahead, adapt, and remain focus on
my objective."

"Chess builds development of the mind, discipline, patience, confidence,
sportsmanship, and team building… and they don’t know… or really care… that
these developments are occurring… because it’s just plain FUN!!!
I encourage every parent to allow their child to participate in this great activity… it gets
them away from TV… and that is just a side benefit…"
