What the mind can perceive it can achieve. We at Chess Unlimited believe
that exercising the brain will help students become more successful in the
classroom. The program is designed to make chess a fun and engaging
experience that will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills as well
as teamwork and good sportsmanship. The potential of the skills chess
teaches to be successful is truly unlimited!

Our Company
Our owner, Miguel Luna, has been teaching chess since 2003. He has also
been an active chess player, competing in local and national events, since
1999. In 2004 and 2005 he was a key part, both as a player and a coach, of
the Ridgeview High School team's Kern County High School Championships.
Currently, he is teaching chess to over 200 students at over 10 school
districts in Phoenix, AZ.
Chess Unlimited will actively encourage the youth in Kern County to play
chess as well. In addition to teaching chess to students we will host monthly
rated tournaments. This encourages a student to practice what he/she has
learned and do his/her best.
